The Lego Pass Rewards

Fortnite Legos started a new adventure for Star Wars in update 29.10!  They also added a Lego Pass that decor and building kits are earned by collecting studs (Legos form of collected currency).  When milestones are achieved, you progress through the Lego Pass.  Just by purchasing the Lego Pass for 1400 v-Bucks, you immediately gain access to Chewbacca Wookiee skin! There are other Star Wars related skins, Fortnite Festival instruments and even Star Wars Lego themed build kits available for purchase with additional v-Bucks.

Studs can be earned by completing objectives and quests while experiencing the Star Wars encounter on your Fortnite Lego map.

Another longevity change to the game in 29.10 is the ability to access the quest menu right from the game!  No more having to back out of the game back to the menu screen to see quests, dailies, weeklies, etc.

You can access your quest menu either by pressing P on computer or double pressing the right thumb pad on PS5.

Moving through the Bonus Season Rewards!

Another personal achievement of mine is how far I've leveled through the season on Legos!  I'm just shy of level 147 and finishing page 4 of the bonus rewards.  I'm feeling like I will actually get this finished before the chapter ends!

Diablo 4 Story Complete

 So I've completed the Campaign, or all four Chapters for the storyline in Diablo 4.  While I had made it as far as Lilith for about a week now, I was originally only at a level of 43-44 when I first attempted it.  I failed miserably.  I had spent the week taking some time, doing some side quests to gain levels within the game.  I finally managed level 47 and wondered if that gave me enough to complete it.  I also decided to spend some Obols (blood-shard equivalent, from Diablo 3) and obtained a bunch of legendary gear.  Not really certain if it was BiS or not, but it got the job done.

Completing that- I did my obligatory watching of the credits.  I feel it is necessary or a sign of respect since so much work went into designing and creating this game.  And the storyline was truly good.  Leveling - not so much.  That was a bit repetitive and boring.

My son thinks we'll have to wait for any additional DLC to find out what this means.  Also curious as to where they will take Neyrelle.  

After completing that - I immediately went and created my Season 1 character, a rogue.  I loved playing ranger from Diablo and I hope it plays very similarly to that.  The Season so far seems far more enjoyable than the grind that is leveling your campaign character.  I love getting the cosmetics and my goal will be to Actually Complete these chapters this time.  I never managed to complete any chapters in Diablo 3 for various reasons.  Now I want to complete it here to say I did it!

Luigi's Mansion 3

 With all the Mario games available, I don't think Luigi gets enough love.  I knew I wanted to play this game, and I've seen the others on the DS, which I may purchase at some point.  I received a gift card for my birthday a while back and for the black Friday deals, this was on sale with all the DLC.

It's a very enjoyable game.  I enjoy having to complete puzzles and challenges, rather than just a straight-up tank and spank all that there is.  This has a little of both of them.  Now, again, I'm not all that familiar with the previous versions, knowing there would be the "same" thing - but for the Switch, I take it for what it is.

Currently about 3.5 hours into the game, I have completed 5 floors.  (I think?)  It's either 4-5, but I'm pretty sure it's 5.  

Finally!

 I'll be completing my gaming post - I just successfully, finally ordered a PS5.  There are SO.  Many. Games I've wanted to play on it but haven't been able to as we've never had a newer PlayStation.  Thankfully through work, I was alerted to an opportunity to get one and jumped on it when given the chance.  It will be coming with 2 controllers AND Horizon Forbidden West (the second installment to a game I finally got to play on my computer and I absolutely love and beat.)  I also looked at the different options for PS Plus and I could gain some additional games all for a low monthly price.  (Again, games I've been wanting to play.)

I'm currently playing Breath of the Wild and having a fun time with that.  I'm not done with the game, but I'd say minus the DLC, I'm about 75-80% done.  I do have the DLC too, to complete.  My goal now will be to complete that before starting a new game.  I would also like to get Skyward Sword for the switch - but not really necessary as I do have it on the Wii.  I will say, I'm pretty set up on games until the end of the year.

So yea, I now feel that my gaming setup is near completion, as I now have all the consoles and a nice gaming pc.  I should have no problem playing any game that I want to play.  Now if only I could retire now and spend the rest of my life gaming.  My husband would agree and would like to join me!

Pokémon Legends Arceus

 

Pokémon Legends Arceus is a new RPG action-adventure style game, where you’re able to play in a more sandbox type world, with quest givers, options to choose said quests and generally play the game however you deem fit.  Fighting style still remains with the turn base system, however you do have the option to attempt to capture the Pokémon rather than being forced to fight it.

In the traditional sense, the game still offers up a travel system.  Here I managed to obtain a Wyrdeer early on through the main storyline.  I will say that the game does offer up a rather interesting main storyline and there are a bunch of side quests you can do for additional items and even rare Pokémon!  One of the first side quests gave me a shiny Ponyta.  So take my advice: do the side quests!

I am currently about 10 hours in the game and I’ve only just completed 2 stars and calmed one Legendary?  (I assume they are Legendaries, I’m pretty novice when it comes to Pokémon, I’ve only completed 2 games - both on the switch.)

I am currently working on the 2nd zone - but there is a lot yet I need to complete or ‘master’ in my Pokédex for research when it comes to finishing the game.

Another notice to this game is everything you use is crafted.  There are some locations that offer shops to purchase some things, but unlike the traditional games, new and better poke-balls are crafted.  And they offer up some bonuses when catching Pokémon at certain levels.  (Ie, Pokémon won’t obey you if they are caught with a ‘lower’ level ball). 

RIFTS 

Another thing the game offers up, to which I was thinking were like the raid battles from Sword/Shield, are time rifts.  Temporal temporary game events that come about in game play that offer up a chance to challenge and catch rare and higher level Pokémon not yet found in the game.  While my base group were mid teens, I got the game message that a temporal opened up.  It wasn’t hard to find, just find the rainbow dome while looking around on the map.  You walk through the shield and inside you can gather color gems, other materials and of course Pokémon!  I obtained a level 31 Gasteon.  Naturally, I didn’t have the level 30 pokeballs.  I did manage to capture it with a level 20 pokeball.  And the thing likes to disobey!

The game is definitely fresh to the traditional Pokémon games that have been previously played.  I will enjoy finding out just how the story pans out - as it is talking of previous clans from the previous games I’ve played.  Stay tuned for updates as I gather them.  And with total game time to almost-near-maybe not- completion.

Pokémon Shining Pearl

 Shining Pearl just became very intense.  The Grand Underground adds several (if not hundreds) more hours to the game!  I’m already ~ 20 hrs in the game and only obtained 6/8 badges needed for the just the storyline!  I’m progressing nicely, having not one, but 2 legendary starter Pokémon available to me having not only pre-purchasing the game, but having previous Pokémon games on my system as well.  In this Grand Underground, not only are you able to capture Pokémon not found in the original game (Platinum, only), you have ginormous caverns to unlock and discover.  Shiny drops to gather to obtain rare and shiny statues for your very own personal area.  Not only do they allow for you to create your own aesthetic personal space, but the statues give bonuses to both attack power and increased chance of discovering that Pokémon in the wild.

I’ve played Pokémon shield ~ 60 hrs, not officially capturing every Pokémon, however having defeated all the gyms, finishing the story and capturing my very own legendary Pokémon!  As my first, official, Pokémon game that I can say really got me into ‘gotta collect ‘em all’, I really liked the story it had.  Shining Pearl also has just as good of a story.  I’m definitely considering Arceus and adding that to the list.  Not only is it rumored to have a BoTW feel to it, which I love, it will continue with great story features that I have come to love.

Holy Moly!

 So I'm totally down with FREE!  I recently bought a Chromebook 2-in-1, because I've not had much luck with 10-inch tablets, I figured I might as well get one with a keyboard.  Amazon is allowing me to make monthly payments on this, so it wasn't as if I spent a huge amount on it.  Whilst I still have my main pc for gaming and whatnot, I use it mainly to write, look up recipes and other historical items.  In learning some of the things you can do with a Chromebook, one of the things is using Stadia.  Now I know Stadia received a lot of heat when it first came out.  That's been a few years now and I was actually playing games on it (a thing that has absolutely no processing power to do anything other than surf or watch streaming videos!)  But I decided ultimately to come to my pc; mainly for the access to controllers that I have, but to also have the ethernet access over wifi only.  Stadia is giving me 3 months free for being a Google One subscriber.  In gaining access, I have access to a game that I've been wanting to purchase (a $30 savings.)  All.  For.  Free!  I love free!    

Little Nightmares II

Now I'll update this progress as I go, as I will with most of my games.  I just read that PS5 may be switching on how they are being produced.  I would love to get me one, but I will patiently wait and buy one at retail price, from retail, and not price gouged from someone just trying to make a buck.
