I've decided to give up on social media.

It is said that we are to spend time with God.

"Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!"1 Chronicles 16:11 (ESV)

I believe Facebook and social media alike the seven deadly sins.  Pride for sure.  There is a sense of Pride having likes, and people agreeing with you.  There is a sense of Pride becoming "Keyboard Warriors" fighting with everyone and trolling with every comment.

I originally came back to Facebook for church.  I needed the online access to do the Facebook Live events for the church we were attending.  Now, we no longer attend that church and the services we join today are more private.  Originally I saw Facebook as a way to share and communicate with family whom live across country.  Now it's nothing more than a self driven soapbox for people and the like-minded who just blindly follow simply because of something said, liked or common agreement.

I have FOMO bad on things that I want for me... I was never one to jump on a bandwagon just because the other kids were doing it.  I usually beat to my own drum.

So - I don't like what I see on social media.  I don't like what people say.  I cannot fathom a world where you have the courage to say nasty, untruthful, yet hurtful things behind a screen and not give one rats ass about what was said.  And people are becoming more and more numb to what is being said it's frightening.  So every time I have this 'urge' of habit to want to open facebook, I instead open my bible!

Let me tell you! I found a chronological bible study online that I am learning A LOT.  Now my FOMO is telling me I HAVE to have the bible the presenter has.. but you know, I have this coloring bible and I'm liking what it's doing it!  So I might just continue to use and finish out this one as I originally intended when I purchased it back in like 2018!  If anything I might just want some more soft colors in marker rather than the highlighters I'm currently using... but it's what I have, it didn't cost me anything other than what I already own and I AM LEARNING!

I guess, to the fam on facebook - if you ever see this.  You know my number.  Talk to me.

I knew if I waited

I've been wanting to read this book. On Amazon it’s been $14-$16 for both the kindle edition or the hard copy. So in my daily check for sales and other free books I might want to add to my digital bookshelf, I found this on sale $2.99 the other day that I couldn’t pass up! I just hope it is worth waiting for on sale!

Happy Halloweeny!

It's the holidays for Halloween and games are starting to add festive events with some pretty cool collectables.

I have been playing a lot of TWW and achieving some personal goals.  (More to come on that when I have some screen shots.)

It has come to my attention that Fortnite Lego has a new Lego Pass.  Unfortunately I missed the banana fun stuff for the new lost isles.  I did get like 1-2 things of the pass, but didn't get to it in time to finish it.  When that completed though, they brought out the Halleween event, Bricks or Treats.

I'm currently moving forward on the free pass.  Unfortunately this came in my life when I must adult and put money towards life things instead of fun things.  But it looks as though I have 9 weeks to complete it, I would like to think I'll have $20 available to get the premium track at some point.

Which also brings us to Chapt 5, Season 4.  I am starting this a bit late as well, but I'm moving through the levels rather quickly and have no doubts I'll be able to at least finish the first 100 levels before this finishes.  I at least wnt to get Peelverine... I mean come on now!  But I should be able to get that and finish it AND get Felina finished as well.  I'm over half way getting that skin complete and should have that soon enough.

It's a bit rough because World of Warcraft pretty much has me playing daily to complete tasks that I want to complete.  I'm also playing D4 - Vessel of Hatred (excellent story! and really enjoying the spirit born class.)  Not to mention having a full time job and a full time RL outside of games and work.  One day world, I'll be able to game and not have interruptions!  One day!

I've decided to give up on social media.
