I have been thinking on my short-lived life and I can’t recall ever experiencing that awful moment when so-n-so was shot and assassinated. I wasn’t around for JFK, Malcom X or MLK. I was too little for Lennon. The next nearest thing would be Princess Diana, but that wasn’t a tragic scene - that was more of an accident… Supposedly. The next one I can think of would’ve been Selena but I unfortunately didn’t have the connection like her fans had when she was unexpectedly taken from this world. I really can’t recall any such tragic event as it had played on September 10, 2025. I can’t even say it’s on par with the great MLK, JFK and those alike.
I will say I am utterly depressed over this. I’m mad. I’m at a loss of words. I can’t believe that someone thinks so selfishly of themselves they thought it would be better for everyone if they took an innocent person out like this person was doing the world a favor. Well, maybe for some, politically they viewed it as a favor but for everyone else, it really just showed the world how evil and vile people have allowed themselves to become to be able to live with themselves at night.
If you think for one moment I will remember your name - Assassinator - you’re wrong. You have created a martyr for the people and have shown the world just how far you’re willing to go to have political ideals - that you think would be benefiting your stance. In reality, you’re merely revealing exactly what the other side has been saying all along. Only now… sitting in silence and being tolerant isn’t enough.
While I won’t take political sides, or write posts that will only regurgitate what’s already been said, I will say that this event has changed who I am and who I thought I was. No more idling over how my posts may offend someone based on what my beliefs or thoughts are. No more trying to be a little bit proper in my presentation because I don’t know who’s reading this or why. FUCK’ Em. They don’t give a damn about what I think or feel. Why demand that from me?
And it’s funny. A few years back a not so nice gentleman got the cops called on him for trying to spend a fake $20 bill at a gas station, the same not so nice gentleman who had some previous encounters with breaking the law and having an issue abiding by it. He (according to this same ideal mindset) was brutally murdered by the cops trying to apprehend him. Never mind the fentanyl searing through his veins. And post death of said individual, many felt it upon themselves to loot, sabotage, wreck havoc on the cities and businesses all in the name of this not so nice gentleman.
Fast forward to today and now on the other side of the table we have an innocent father assassinated in front of his family. No marches, no looting, no havoc on the cities to incite crime and vengeance. No, instead what I think you’ll find is that we’re no longer sitting down. We’re no longer putting up with it. We’re no longer going just sit idle while you think you’re getting your way. We tried playing by your rules… Now you get to play by ours!
